Wellness encompasses more than just health. Creating balance in our lives is an important part of wellness. Our personal journeys present each of us with unique opportunities to steward our gifts in all dimensions of our lives. It is important to re-balance from time to time, to adjust to what is going on in our lives. While each one’s path will be a bit different, every aspect of wellness can affect our lives. Working toward balance in all aspects is a valuable goal, because wellness relates directly to the quality of our lives.
Covid-19 has impacted the lives of all of us—men, women, young and old alike. Amid the pandemic upheaval, we must learn to balance the many dimensions of our lives: the physical, spiritual, social, financial, vocational and emotional. When one dimension is out of balance, it affects the entire body. We cannot achieve total wellness passively. It requires active awareness, acceptance, and commitment through our daily choices.
